Esther Rimington / Star Wars Props / LPA NN-14 Blaster Project

LPA NN-14 Blaster Project:

The NN-14 blaster pistol was a blaster pistol manufactured by LPA. The blaster featured a compact grip, enlarged power core, reinforced frame, armored body shell, and flash suppressing/stabilizing muzzle.

This project  will be based on the screen used NN-14 in The Force Awakens. Han Solo owned one such pistol, but he later gave it to the scavenger Rey, who went on to use the blaster against the First Order.  When she went to find Luke Skywalker, she was seen with a holstered NN-14..

Project: Day 1

3D printed the parts, over all the prints took 24h, once the printing was compleated all the parts were covered in XTC 3d resin, when dry they were then sanded and filler was applied where needed, another sanding and the parts are ready for primer.

Before they are primed all the bolts were test fitted, these are M3 & M4 Torx screws, some drilling was needed.

Project: Day 2

All the parts were given a spray with filler/primer, after they had dryed they were given one last sanding and then given 3 coats of pewter spray paint, then grips were given 3 coats of matt black and a top coat of gloss black..

Before they are primed all the bolts were test fitted, these are M3 & M4 Torx screws, some drilling was needed.

Project: Day 3

Time to fix all the pieces together and then add some weathering to the blaster.

When all dryed the blaster is given a few coats of clear coat and the project is finished.
